
As obvious as it sounds, this quote highlights Myles´ love and interest of many different styles of music and genre - be it jazz, classical, pop, hip-hop, film soundtrack, world music or a mixture of all these.
Myles studied jazz composition and arranging under Graeme Lyall at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts where he explored his love of jazz and big band music. After graduating in 1999 he then went on to complete a Masters degree in Studio Jazz Writing under Gary Lindsay at the University of Miami.

After spending time at the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles in 2002, he taught composition and arranging for 3 years at the International College of Music in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and currently teaches Music Appreciation at Notre Dame University in Fremantle.
Myles has collaborated with numerous ensembles and artists throughout his career, including student film and theatre projects at Notre Dame, dance choreographer Ellen McCarthy and West Australian Production Company Siamese on the SBS Documentary, Kuru.
His work in 2011 thus far has included lecturing at UWA Extension, and composing music for advertising firm Marketforce. Myles currently works as a production coordinator for Eastman Theatre Productions.
